Open Call for Artists – Submit work for an ArtAnywhere PopUp! Gallery
What is a PopUp! Gallery?
A pop-up gallery is a temporary art installation in any business’ empty or unused spaces.
Art Wanted for multiple Montreal businesses

- Plateau based, technology company accelerator: Bolidea (www.bolidea.com)
- Chic urban bistro in NDG: The Monkland Tavern (www.monklandtavern.com)
- Old Montreal based technology company incubator and seed investment firm: Flow Ventures (www.flowventures.com)
Benefits to Artists
- Art will be marketed directly to the business and, where relevant, its clients.
- All art sales will be handled through ArtAnywhere.com which can process credit cards and take payments on installment to facilitate larger purchases. ArtAnywhere only charges a 25% commission on sales.
Submission Requirements
What & How to submit
- Your full name and coordinates (tel, email, website, address)
- Very brief artist bio (one brief paragraph maximum).
- JPEG images of work you would like to show including: title of work, dimensions in inches, medium and sale value of work. IMPORTANT: Please attach JPEG images to body of email. Name your file according to this file naming format: YOURNAME_TITLE_DIMENSIONXDIMENSION
- Send submissions (by email only, with subject line: CLIENT-NAME-X to: popup@artanywhere.com
Other Submission Details
- There is no submission fee
- Artists will not be paid any exhibition fees
- Only art that is complete and ready to hang (loop hook mounts and/or strung with wire) can considered for exhibition. Ensure that your mounting setup is sufficient to bear the weight of your work. Works not in ready-to-hang condition may be excluded from show.
- Maximum limit of five (5) art pieces may be submitted (all media accepted but art must fit within the allocated spaces and be approved by client). You may be invited to submit more pieces should your work be chosen.
- Shows will be either group or solo, as determined by client preferences.
- ArtAnywhere can assist with pick up and return of all local art accepted for exhibition that is too large to be transported by artist.
- You will be ask to deliver the work if possible and assist in its installation.
- Submissions can be made in French or English.
You will be notified if your work has been accepted within 1 week of submission closing date. All work not selected is automatically included to alternative local clients as part of an OPEN CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS. Please specify if you DO NOT wish to be included in subsequent open calls for submissions.
Deadline for Submissions: April 30, 2010; Art Delivery & Installation Date: Beginning of May
Show dates: Opening: (Varied, TBD). (60 day exhibition)
